Troy Public Library services will cease at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
A Troy Public Library employee has tested positive for COVID-19.
Per Michigan Executive Order 2020-145 – Safeguards to Protect Michigan’s Workers from COVID-19, employers are required to adopt protocols to clean and disinfect the facility in the event of a positive COVID-19 case in the workplace. As such, the City of Troy policy requires the facility to be vacated for 72 hours following a deep-cleaning. The 72-hour closure will also ensure that all materials in the facility meet the 72-hour quarantine, as recommended by the CDC for the safety of employees and patrons.
During the closure:
- Curbside Pickup of items will not be available
- Telephone service will not be available
- Materials return drop boxes will not be available
Troy Public Library will resume the above services on Monday, September 21, 2020, at 10 am.
