Troy Public Library patrons will not have access to MeLCat from February 12–25, 2018.
We will be upgrading our MeLCat software beginning Monday, February 12. Our expected date to be back up and running is Monday, February 26.
During the upgrade you will be unable to place any new requests for MeLCat materials. However, MeLCat items will still be able to be renewed during that time.
Once the upgrade is complete, you will be placing requests directly with MeLCat via mel.org. Our catalog will have a link to MeLCat and all requests will continue to show in your Troy Public Library account.
Requesting Items from Other Michigan Libraries (MeLCat) Beginning February 26, 2018
If you are looking for an item that is unavailable at the Troy Public Library, you may be able to request it from another Michigan library. The Michigan eLibrary catalog (MeLCat) allows you to request items from libraries across the state. This can now be done directly at MeL.org. Once you have placed your MeLCat request(s), you can track your holds and renew your items online in your Troy Public Library account.
You may request any MeLCat item that is currently available in any participating Michigan library. The MeL catalog complements the Troy Public Library collection and offers access to unusual and hard-to-find items.
Please contact the library at email@example.com or 248.524.3534 if you need assistance with MeLCat.
