Storybook Trail

Storybook Trail

What is a Storybook Trail?

Read a book together with your child while exploring one of Troy’s beautiful outdoor spaces! Walk along Raintree Park’s paved trail path and read a book one page at a time. Each page includes suggested activities to keep children engaged between pages.

Visit the trail regularly to enjoy a new story!

Where is the Storybook Trail?
The Storybook Trail is located in Raintree Park at 3775 John R. Rd, Troy, MI 48083. The Trail begins on the path near the playground and ends just before the restrooms.

How Long is the Trail?
The Trail follows the entire Raintree Park walking path and is just short of a mile. The trail is fully paved and convenient for strollers.

Max the Brave by Ed Vere
Max the Brave, Max is fearless, Max the Mouse-catcher. But in order to be a Mouse-catcher, Max needs to know what a mouse is. Do you think Max will find out what a mouse is?

NEXT BOOK ON DISPLAY (Coming in November):
A Fall Ball for All by Jamie A. Swenson, Illustrated by Chiara Fedele
On the verge of winter, the autumn wind issues an invitation: "Come one, come all to the annual windfall ball!" Join all the animals in this beautifully illustrated rhyming picture book as they gather for the autumn wind's harvest in preparation for the long winter.

The Storybook Trail was made possible through the generous contribution of the Friends of the Troy Public Library and through a collaboration between Troy Public Library and City of Troy Parks Department.
