From the Desk of Mr. T

MrTHeadShotHi Everyone!

Summer Library Program is coming! Are you as excited as I am?  I would hold a book in each arm all summer long if I could! The program runs June 16-August 11, 2018, but you can pre-register now at troypl.org/summerlibrary. We will even send you a few reminders to remind you of the June 16 start date.

The Youth  program is designed for birth-12 year olds, and is a free and easy way to earn prizes for reading and enjoying Library-related activities while keeping the summer slide monster at bay!
This year's program includes:

  • Online activity logging
  • Weekly prizes for those completing at least one of the TPL Top Ten activities each week
  • Fun, free events to attend (first priority to Troy residents)

This year's TPL Top Ten:

  • Read a Book (everyone's favorite!)
  • Listen to an Audiobook
  • Down a Digital title
  • Attend a Library Event (events require registration; first priority to Troy residents)
  • Be a Troy Tourist—visit Stage Nature Center, Troy Historic Village, Troy Family Aquatic Center, or Troy Community Center
  • Watch a DVD or Blu-ray
  • Listen to a Music CD
  • Read a Magazine
  • Read a Book about Music—because Libraries Rock!
  • Read a New Item for Kids—published within the last six months
